The Honest Conversation Learners Need

Jacques speaks honestly to high school learners about gambling addiction, mental health and asking for help, drawing from seven years of sobriety.

Why schools are booking this talk now

Most of your matrics turn 18 before they leave your school, which makes them legally able to gamble. At the same time, betting apps and fast games like Aviator are being marketed straight at their age group, on the platforms they already spend their afternoons on.

It is designed to look harmless. It is quick, it is social, everyone in the group chat seems to be doing it, and by the time a young person understands what it is costing them financially and emotionally, the habit is already in place. Jacques talks to learners before that happens, not after.

What he talks about is not theory. He lived it, and he is willing to say out loud what most people in recovery keep private.
